Mental Performance
Poonam Sandhu-Mooker is a certified mental performance consultant (CMPC) and a professional member with the Canadian Sport Psychology Association (CSPA) and the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP). Poonam is also a Program Consultant & Facilitator with Canadian Women & Sport for multiple gender equity projects, and helps Via Sport to provide workshops for Safe Sport and for youth sports programming.
She is a former Canada Field Hockey national athlete and varsity field hockey athlete at the University of British Columbia. She is the first field hockey player in Canada to win 5 Usports National Championships, and the first Punjabi female athlete to compete on the National Team. She enjoys coaching as well, and has led the UBC field hockey team for 5 seasons as a head coach.
Poonam brings her experience as an elite athlete, successful coach, and credentials and professionalism in mental performance counseling to help athletes unlock their potential and improve their mental game.
